Job summary

Lanier Hardware is seeking an experienced Cleaner/Janitor to maintain a clean, organized store environment. You will perform heavy-duty cleaning and help ensure a safe, welcoming space for customers. The role requires reliability, strong communication, and the ability to prioritize tasks.

You will handle floors, restrooms, trash, glass surfaces, and basic maintenance reporting. Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 5 hours per shift, including one Saturday shift.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have proven working experience as Cleaner/Janitor.
• Must be able to respond and act quickly.
• Must have strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Must have knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning building floors (vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, sweeping).
• Gathering and emptying indoor and outdoor trash and cardboard.
• Clean, service and resupply restrooms.
• Clean windows, mirrors and other glass surfaces.
• Informing managers about required repair and maintenance activities.
• Maintaining tools and equipment needed for Cleaner/Janitor duties.
• Requiring supplies of the tools and equipment needed for Cleaner/Janitor duties.
• Organizing and executing spraying of fumigant and insecticides.
• Assistance with loading and unloading as needed for customers.
