Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodial Supervisor in Morrisville, NC. The role oversees custodial staff, ensures cleanliness and sanitation, and enforces OSHA-compliant safety practices.

Shifts are 6:00 AM–2:30 PM with responsibilities spanning training, supply management, and inspections. You will coordinate day-to-day operations, evaluate equipment needs, and report performance issues to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered; experience leading facilities or janitorial teams valued.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise Custodial staff activities and scheduling.
• Train and instruct staff on safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure sanitation services meet site needs and comply with regulations.
• Inspect areas, equipment, and working conditions; report deficiencies.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and PPE; issue as needed.
• Conduct quality, service, and safety inspections and document results.

Title:Custodial SupervisorJob Description:Compensation: $60,000-$65,000 per yearShift: 6:00AM-2:30PMJob OverviewThe Custodial Supervisor will be responsible for the assignment and direct supervision of custodial employees in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the assigned areas. The supervisor will inspect areas, equipment, and working conditions to ensure compliance with sanitation and OSHA regulations.Roles & ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.Coordinate and supervise the activities of employees in the Custodial programTrain and instruct employees in tasks, safety, policies, and proceduresEnsure that custodial services meet the needs of the siteEnsure custodial personnel have the equipment and supplies necessary to perform their jobIssues supplies to custodians as neededConduct regular quality, service, and safety inspections of assigned areas and reporting the results of the inspections with particular emphasis on needed repairsEvaluate and recommend new custodial supplies and equipment by conducting testingEnsure specified contract services are provided by the contractor by inspecting the work performedAdvises the immediate supervisor when shortcomings or other deficiencies of work are notedReport employee personnel and customer issues to supervisorReport accidents and incidents to the supervisor immediatelyCarry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable lawsInterview, hire, plans, assign, and direct workEnsure each team member works in conformance with SBM policies and proceduresEnsure operational excellence through training, coaching, disciplining, and encouragement of team membersAddress complaints and resolve problemsEnsure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirementsMonitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, and suppliesProvide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvementReview and maintain employee’s records such as attendance and metric dataCorrect at risk behavior then reports to the supervisor immediatelyQualificationTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
