The role involves standing for long periods and lifting tasks, with supervision by Office Manager and HR. Evening shifts roughly five nights biweekly; prior cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean entryway glass of fingerprints and smudges.
• Vacuum carpet, sweep and mop flooring including under workstations.
• Empty waste baskets and dispose of trash.
• Disinfect counters, exam room surfaces, and fixtures.
• Sanitize drinking fountains daily.
• Clean bathrooms and replenish supplies.
• Stock paper towels, toilet tissue, and soap dispensers.
• Clean lunch room and break areas.
• Clean refrigerators and microwaves.
• Wipe areas around dispensers; spot clean stains.
• Liaise with Office Manager for supplies.

Job description

Family Practice Center, P.C. is currently seeking a Part-Time Custodial Office Cleaner in our Williamsport Office. The ideal candidate will clean the office approx 5 evenings biweekly to include the duties listed below. Family Practice Center is a large group of primary care physicians in Central PA. We offer a wide range of services including family medicine, pediatrics, counseling services, onsite lab and x-ray, and much more. Family Practice offers a competitive rate.

Education:

1. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

Certification/Licensure:

1. Must have reliable transportation
2. May be required to pass random drug and/or alcohol testing.

General Summary of Duties:

A large building space will take approximately two to three hours per night to clean. Responsibilities include:

Nightly:

1. Clean entryway glass of fingerprints and smudges.
2. Vacuum all carpet, sweep and mop VCT tiles and flooring, to include under all work stations and behind doorways.
3. Empty all waste baskets, clean exterior of basket as needed, and place waste in dumpsters.
4. Wipe off and disinfect all counter-tops, exam table beds, and exam room surfaces.
5. Sanitize and wipe off drinking fountains daily.
6. Wipe off, clean, and sanitize all bathroom fixtures, sinks, grab bars, chairs, and all the toilets (to include the base).
7. Replenish any paper towel holders, toilet paper, and hand soap dispensers as needed.
8. Clean lunch room and wipe off and sanitize all tables and countertops.
9. Clean front and top of refrigerator and microwave.
10. Wipe out and sanitize all exam sinks.
11. Wipe areas around soap dispensers as well as floors and walls where excess was left.
12. Straighten exam room and waiting room chairs, wipe off and sanitize as needed.
13. Spot clean any carpet stains.
14. Wipe off and sanitize door pulls and knobs.
15. Other jobs as directed.
16. Stairway entrance from front door.
17. Elevator from front door.
18. Clean carpets in walkways and waiting rooms.
19. Mop and sweep all flooring

Weekly:

1. Dust all areas, work surfaces, exam rooms, and private offices.
2. Thoroughly mop all flooring and do touch up floor cleaning as needed.
3. Clean all office windows and glass.
4. Straighten wall pictures
5. Thoroughly clean bathroom sinks and toilets.
6. Place order with Lisa Zechman for needed cleaning supplies, plastic bags, soap, toilet tissue, paper towels, etc.
7. Other jobs as directed.
8. Stairway (North and South)
9. Thoroughly stock bathroom cabinets with toilet paper, paper towels, soap, garbage bags for staff replenishing needs.
10. Clean carpets in walkways and waiting rooms.

Monthly:

1. Clean/dust the bottoms parts of wood and plastic chairs, stools, and treatment tables.
2. Clean behind small stands, chairs, and tables in waiting room.
3. Check for cob webs behind doors.
4. Dust kick plates
5. Thoroughly vacuum all carpet moving chairs, small stands, tables, etc.
6. Dust picture frames, tops of televisions, and other wall hangings.
7. Clean outside of cabinets.
8. Clean Providers office to include dusting the desk.
9. Dust the woodwork, archways, picture frames, tops of televisions, and other wall hangings.

Quarterly:

1. Thoroughly clean kick plates.
2. Clean non-personal work spaces or common areas, to include but not limited to, moving small equipment or copiers to clean behind.
3. Other jobs as directed.
4. Bathroom vents.
5. Clean cabinet facing.

Biannually:

1. Thoroughly dust all vents in exam rooms.
2. Wipe down the walls.
3. Clean the insides of trash cans.
4. Dust/clean plastic shrubs.
5. Other jobs as directed.

Supervision Received:

Provider, however, additional duties and oversight will occur by Office Manager and Human Resources.

Typical Physical Demands:

Work will require standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, moving, stooping, bending, and stretching for long periods of time.

Typical Working Condition:

Work is performed in an office environment.
