Job summary

HES Facilities is seeking General Cleaners to support custodial and maintenance operations across educational facilities. The team ensures daily upkeep and cleanliness of assigned areas, performing a range of cleaning duties and equipment setup for events as needed.

Qualifications

• General Cleaners are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all assigned areas.
• General Cleaners perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum.
• Dust and Clean walls, vents, screens, furniture, drinking fountains, light fixtures, window blinds, brass, and other interior fixtures
• Wash interior and exterior windows and glass doors.
• Sweep entryways, empty exterior cigarette urns, and empty trashcans immediately outside building entrances.
• Clean restrooms, plunger sinks and toilets, and replenish supplies.
• Complete work requests to notify management of needed repair work.
• Organize and supply custodial closets as needed.
• Move, remove, and/or set up furniture, furnishings, supplies, equipment, and any other items, inside specified rooms for special functions as directed.
• Complete above duties as required due to call-offs, vacancies, etc
• Additional job-related duties as required by the supervisor.
