Job summary

The Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Foundation in Medora, ND is seeking a full-time Housekeeping / Custodial Team Member to maintain clean, safe interior spaces and support visitor experience. You will follow established cleaning standards, operate janitorial equipment, and collaborate with Facilities, Grounds, Sustainability, and Operations teams.

This role emphasizes environmental stewardship, reliability, and a professional approach to public spaces, with shifts including evenings,

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Prior janitorial, custodial, or facilities support experience preferred.
Experience using environmentally responsible cleaning products a plus.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning of public spaces, offices, restrooms, galleries, classrooms, and staff areas.
Maintain floors, windows, fixtures, furnishings, and high-touch surfaces.
Conduct routine walk-throughs to identify cleanliness issues, safety concerns, or needs.
Document observations and report conditions impacting visitor experience or building performance.
Provide operational support to Facilities and Grounds teams during peak workloads.
