Job summary

The State of Missouri is seeking a Custodial Assistant to clean offices and resident areas, manage supplies, and assist with equipment maintenance as part of a cleaning crew.

This first-level position operates under general supervision with weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 6:30 am–3:00 pm) and emphasizes reliability, basic cleaning techniques, and physical stamina.

The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. Years of service adjustments, shift differentials, and other targeted salary payments are applied to the total compensation of your paycheck and are subject to eligibility requirements of the appropriate differential.

This is a first-level custodial position accountable for cleaning office or resident areas. At this level, an employee works under general supervision and follows instructions and directions as part of a cleaning crew. Work involves maintaining an inventory of supplies and tools and notifying the supervisor of any resupply needs. Work may also involve performing routine maintenance on equipment.
