Job summary

The Butler County Educational Service Center is seeking a Curriculum Specialist - Math to provide county‑wide leadership in mathematics instruction. You will coach teachers and deliver professional development, helping districts implement strong math curricula.

This role collaborates with teachers, principals and other stakeholders to design instruction, assessments and innovative practices that meet diverse learning needs.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited educational institution in curriculum or related area.

General Description

Curriculum specialists provide a variety of services to partnering school districts, including coaching and professional development. In addition, the department collaborates to support curriculum services that include instructional design, assessment, innovative practices, and meeting diverse learning needs. This position will give county-wide leadership to build districts' capacity to provide high quality math instruction.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree from an accredited educational institution in curriculum or a related area.
• Expertise in Math instruction and curriculum coaching.
• Successful experience as a staff developer, coach or mentor.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with a variety of teachers, administrators and other stakeholders.
• Understanding of effective teaching and learning principles for meeting the diverse learning needs of students.
• Evidence of and a commitment to professional growth.
• Must pass criminal background checks and be free from communicable disease.

Terms of Employment

Salary and work year as established by the Governing Board. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non - prescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.

Evaluation

Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
