Cengage Group seeks a Portfolio Manager for the Milady Content and Learning Team in the United States, managing curriculum products across For Profit, Higher Education and K12 spaces. You will lead portfolio strategy, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive on-time delivery of high-quality learning experiences.

You’ll translate market insights into actionable plans, test ideas, and advocate for customers and authors, ensuring strong adoptions and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree required.
• Minimum 5 years in portfolio/product management or related field.
• Travel ~20% of time.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders.
• Strong ability to develop business cases and strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead a profitable line of content offerings and develop strategic business plans.
• Provide leadership, representing the portfolio and customers across audiences.
• Use data to make market-informed proposals and guide decisions.
• Develop market mastery to inform business plans and metrics.
• Translate priorities into end-to-end development plans with budgets and goals.
• Direct project teams to deliver multiple content offerings on time and within scope.
• Foster creativity and collaboration across functions.
• Deliver quality learning experiences to students and instructors.
• Build relationships with authors, content creators, and adoption decision makers.
• Understand competitors and anticipate activity.
• Test portfolio ideas via focus groups, boards, and customer meetings.
• Analyze portfolio plans to forecast progress toward goals.
• Partner with Marketing and Sales to seed adoptions.
