Job summary

St. Mark’s Episcopal School is seeking a Curriculum Director to lead curriculum design, alignment, and implementation. The role coaches faculty, collaborates with Division Heads, and champions the school’s mission to academic excellence.

The position oversees curriculum mapping software, conducts classroom observations, and supports onboarding. A master’s in a related field and 5+ years of teaching are preferred.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of classroom teaching experience.
• 2–3 years in instructional leadership with scope and sequence design experience.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• 12-month, full-time, exempt position.
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods; lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum mapping across departments for vertical and horizontal alignment.
• Identify gaps, evaluate frameworks, and propose implementation plans.
• Identify, promote, and implement new curriculum programs, elective pathways, and courses.
• Serve on teams that make and implement decisions around teaching & learning.
• Oversee the usage and maintenance of curriculum mapping software.
• Conduct regular classroom observations to offer feedback and model best practices.
• Assist in onboarding new faculty members.
• Use assessment data to inform curricular decisions.
• Collaborate with academic leadership to plan and support training.
• Collaborate with academic leaders to facilitate curriculum-focused meetings.
• Participate in school-wide events planning.
• Teach an Elective class as needed.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Head of School
