Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Digital Clerk to fulfill online curbside orders with speed and accuracy, delivering a smooth pickup experience from start to finish. You will greet customers, collect payment, and build positive relationships with teammates and leadership throughout shifts.

The role emphasizes strong communication, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly. Prior retail or cashier experience is preferred, with lifting and standing required.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented and dependable.
• Able to perform physical tasks (lifting, standing for extended periods).

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable service at the curbside pickup Meijer Pickup area through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection the carside experience
• Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly attitude (in person and on the phone) and respond to questions and needs
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, team members across the store and leadership
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift
• Select items throughout the store, scan/verify products, and bag items appropriately using bagging standards
• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines
• Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

What You'll Do

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred
• Past cashier experience preferred
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable
• Process-driven with the ability to follow procedures in an efficient, consistent way
• Past online ordering experience a plus
• You have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods
