Job summary

Meijer is seeking a curbside cashier in Michigan to provide fast, friendly assistance at the pickup area and manage payment collection. You will fulfill daily orders and maintain a clean, organized workspace while following bagging standards and food safety guidelines.

In this role, you will engage customers in person and over the phone, resolve issues promptly, and collaborate with team members and leadership to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-3 years of customer-facing experience in a Meijer store is preferred.
• Strong communication and food safety awareness are important.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and follow procedures.
• Detail oriented, organized, and process driven with good teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Drive customer loyalty and satisfaction at curbside pickup with fast, friendly, accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, team members, and leadership.
• Present courteous, friendly service in person and on the phone; respond to customer questions.
• Resolve customer complaints quickly by escalating to leadership when needed.
• Receive workflow from dashboard and fulfill daily orders.
• Follow bagging standards and select appropriate products for bagging.
• Store products correctly in the staging area following food safety guidelines.
• Greet customers and process payments to ensure an easy shopping experience.
• Maintain a clean and neat work environment.

• Receive workflow from dashboard and fulfill orders for the day.
• Utilize selection process for product within the store and bag product appropriately following bagging standards.
• Store product correctly in the staging area following food safety guidelines.
• Greet each customer and take payment for the order ensuring an easy shopping experience.
• Maintain a clean and neat work environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a Meijer store preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Strong communication skills.
• General awareness of food safety regulations.
