Job summary

Preferred candidates hold a Master’s in Museum Studies or related field, plus 2+ years in museum work or project management. This in-person position emphasizes collaboration with researchers and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in museum services or related field (Required).
• Master's degree in Museum Studies, Anthropology, Archaeology, Library Science, History, Arts Administration or related field (Preferred).
• 2 years of museum work and/or project management experience (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day museum operations: curation, collections maintenance, tours, facility operations, exhibition planning, staff/volunteer coordination, marketing and events.
• Interact with staff, faculty, students, and the public.
• Provide exhibit support: coordinate with guest curators, manage timelines, scripts, marketing, and opening/program logistics.
• Act as project manager for policy rewriting and disaster preparedness planning.
• Support Museum Registrar with gift backlog, assist with access for researchers, tours, and classes.
• Assist with cataloging, digitizing files, and organizing reference materials.
