Job summary

Vireo Health, Inc. is seeking a Cultivation Technician for the Palatka grow facility in Florida. This hands-on farming role involves trimming, packing, and moving plant material, while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards across hot, humid summer months and cooler winters.

You’ll follow SOPs, collaborate with leads, and adapt to changing production needs. The position requires reliability, ownership of tasks, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in agriculture, cultivation, food handling, warehouse, or manufacturing is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.

What the role is about:

The Cultivation Technician supports the day-to-day workflow of our Palatka grow facility, where the medical cannabis we sell across Florida is grown. This is hands‑on farm work: trimming, packaging, moving material, cleaning, and jumping in wherever the day's production plan needs you. You'll work in grow rooms that are hot and humid in summer, cold in winter, loud, dusty, and intensely bright, with the strong smell of cannabis in the air all day. We're looking for people who show up on time, take ownership of their work, take direction well, and are willing to switch tasks whenever the crop calls for it.

• Keep your workspace and the facility clean, neat, and organized throughout every shift

• Take ownership of your assignments and see them through to completion
• Support other cultivation and production duties as assigned

What you've accomplished:

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the Palatka facility
• Ability to obtain and maintain any state‑required credentials for working in a licensed cannabis facility
• Previous experience in agriculture, cultivation, food handling, warehouse, or manufacturing is preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized in a fast‑paced environment
• Clear verbal and written communication skills

Working conditions & physical requirements:

• Work in a hot/warm and humid environment for your entire shift during the summer months and a cold environment for your entire shift during the winter months
• Tolerate the uncomfortable sensations of a farming environment, including heat, bright lights, bugs, water, dirt, and dust in the air
• Tolerate VERY bright LED grow lights for extended periods; these lights have been known to trigger seizures in individuals who are susceptible to seizures
• Work in dark rooms using only a green head lamp
• Tolerate the VERY strong odor of cannabis in the air all day
• Tolerate a noisy work location
• Stand or sit for very long periods of time
• Kneel or crouch often and for long periods of time
• Perform tasks with your hands that require dexterity for long periods of time
• Occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• Work on a high platform such as scaffolding for long periods of time without dizziness or issue
