Job summary

Ayr Wellness is seeking a Cultivation Lead to supervise cultivation operations in a large facility. You will oversee feeding, defoliation, cropping, flushing, sprays, waste disposal, and inventory while coordinating with the Cultivation Manager and Director.

Responsibilities include opening/closing grow zones, monitoring plant health, maintaining SOP compliance, and ensuring proper documentation. Candidates should have cannabis cultivation experience and be able to work nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in general cannabis cultivation or commercial production gardening.
• Minimum 6 months of professional experience in agriculture, horticulture, or cannabis industry.
• Ability to make decisions when needed.
• Accurate data-entry and record keeping.
• Thorough understanding of state and local medical and/or recreational cannabis laws and how they apply to Ayr Wellness operations.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Effective time-management skills and ability to multitask.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, or alternate shifts.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes designated grow zones according to Ayr Wellness SOPs.
• Checks for plant loss, stress, malfunctioning equipment, and uncompleted tasks.
• Delegates tasks to Cultivators as necessary.
• Performs daily inspections of plants for health, pests, disease, or sex change.
• Assists in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Familiarizes with cultivation equipment and cleaning procedures.
• Sets up a team by ensuring supplies and equipment are available.
• Rotates strains through garden to ensure variety and supply for dispensaries.
• Monitors environmental controls (temp, humidity, CO2, light, etc.).
• Maintains documentation of activities from birth to harvest.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
