Job summary

Taste Buds Kitchen is hiring Culinary Assistants to help run hands-on cooking classes and events in our Kitchen Studio. You will assist instructors, prep ingredients, and ensure a fun, safe, and clean environment for guests of all ages.

Open availability including nights and weekends is required as events run seven days a week. No formal teaching degree required, just passion for food and guest engagement.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow directions in a fast-paced environment.
• Natural curiosity and passion for food & culinary entertainment.
• Upbeat personality with a smile on your face most of the time.
• Eagerness to get your hands dirty.
• Great communication skills with all ages.
• Confident with a range of cooking and baking techniques.
• At least one year of experience entertaining kids and/or adults.
• Relevant cooking/restaurant experience a plus.
• Formal teaching experience and training in education, childhood development, or related field a plus.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift 45 pounds.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must enjoy small business atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Open availability is required, including nights and weekends. Taste Buds Kitchen hosts events 7 days a week.
• Assist the Instructor in creating amazing cooking classes, camps, and parties for ages 2‑99.
• Create a friendly, energetic, and consistent experience for our guests.
• Setup before class including preparing ingredients, activities, and prebake as needed for a class.
• Assist the Instructor with engaging and teaching guests about cooking/baking skills related to the class menu.
• Keep the kitchen running smoothly, sparkling clean, stocked, and organized before, during, and after the class.
• Create a controlled, safe, clean, friendly environment for all clients.
