Job summary

The Culinary Service Cook role at Monarch Healthcare Management is responsible for preparing and serving meals for residents, guests and staff, with guidance from the Culinary Services Director and the interdisciplinary team. The cook will support diet orders and promote food service standards, aiming for dignity and resident satisfaction.

On-Call AM and PM shifts are required, and the role is within a mission-driven company offering competitive pay and benefits in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• Must be available for On-Call shifts (AM and PM).
• Must have a desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents.
• Must qualify for employment after criminal background check per Minnesota DHS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, serve, and be responsible for the preparation of foods for residents, guests, and employees.
• Coordinate with the Culinary Services Director and interdisciplinary team to promote resident acceptance and compliance with therapeutic diet orders.
• Provide meals that meet resident preferences while preserving personal dignity and managing cost, quality, and quantity.

Culinary Service Cook

Description:

The Culinary Service Cook is accountable to prepare, serve, and/or be responsible for the preparation of foods for residents, guests, and employees. With direction from the Culinary Services Director and in coordination with the interdisciplinary team, the cook increases residents’ acceptance and compliance especially among those with therapeutic diet orders. To promote food service standard through cost, quality and quantity controls. Provides meal service that meets the desires of the resident, by allowing as much choice as possible and giving foodservice that preserves the element of personal dignity.

• Must qualify for employment, after criminal background study, per guidelines of the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
