Job summary

Buckner Retirement Services — Ventana by Buckner in Dallas, TX — is seeking a Culinary Server to support residents with meals and hospitality. The role covers all phases of food preparation, serving, and cleanup to meet Buckner standards of service and care.

The position requires reliable English communication, ability to follow instructions, and physical capability to lift and move kitchen items as needed. Onsite schedule includes a 4 days on/2 days off rotation with two shifts daily.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read, write and understand business documents written in English.
• Requires ability to communicate verbally with residents, families, visitors and co-workers.
• Requires ability to make self clearly understood by others.
• Requires ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions.
• Requires ability to move food serving and preparation equipment up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds continuously.

Responsibilities

• Set tables; bus tables, wash off tables after meals.
• Prepare beverages and food as required.
• Serve food in dining rooms or other areas as required.
• Serve beverages to residents as required.
• Blend food in electric blender; prepare steam table.
• Prepare hot cart and serve food; clean and sanitize carts.
• Wash dishes; scrape and rack dishes; sort, stack, store clean dishes.
• Mop, sweep, and clean work area.
• Take out trash.
• Wrap silverware.

Job Schedule: Full-Time, This is split shift. 4 days on, 2 days off rotation. 2 days are 6a to 1p and 2 days are 1p to 7p.

We are seeking a Culinary Server to join our community committed to delivering outstanding service to our residents. As a Culinary Server, you will play an important role in all phases of food preparation that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. • Requires ability to safely utilize kitchen equipment and recognize differences in sound generated by equipment or machinery which may indicate operation problems or safety concerns.
