Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking an Assoc Dir, Culinary Programs to advance culinary strategy and operational excellence across patient and retail dining services. This role leads teams, ensures safe, high-quality programs aligned with nutrition standards, and collaborates with clinical nutrition, wellness, and supply chain to enhance dining experience.

• Required: Bachelor-level degree in a related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum extensive management experience in healthcare or related food service.
• ServSafe certification or equivalent preferred; ongoing compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate culinary vision and standards for patient and retail services.
• Lead recipe standardization including ingredients, methods, portions, allergens, and targets.
• Oversee food safety, regulatory compliance, and infection prevention policies.
• Drive enterprise culinary strategy and optimize culinary systems.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor culinary staff and foster cross-functional collaboration.
