Position Overview

The Culinary Program Lead / Mobile Food Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing TCGC’s culinary programming and mobile food vending operations across multiple community locations. This role blends hands‑on food service operations, youth workforce development, and program leadership, ensuring a high‑quality, safe, and engaging experience for all participants.

This individual will serve as a lead facilitator for culinary and workforce readiness initiatives while managing day‑to‑day mobile food operations, including weekend events and community partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Mobile Food Vending Operations
    • Oversee and execute mobile food vending operations across multiple sites, including weekends and special events
    • Coordinate setup, service, and breakdown of mobile food units
    • Ensure compliance with all local health, safety, and food handling regulations
    • Manage basic inventory, supply ordering, and stock control
    • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of equipment and service areas
  2. Culinary Arts Programming & Youth Development
    • Facilitate and support culinary arts programming for students
    • Provide hands‑on instruction in food preparation, safety, and service
    • Support workforce readiness by teaching transferable skills (teamwork, time management)
    • Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
    • Serve as a role model and mentor for youth participants
    • Lead day‑to‑day execution of culinary and workforce programming
    • Collaborate with leadership on program planning and community partnerships
    • Ensure program quality, consistency, and alignment with TCGC’s mission
    • Track participation, engagement, and program outcomes as needed
  3. Transportation & Multi‑Site Support
    • Travel between program locations as required
    • Transport supplies and equipment for mobile operations
    • Ensure timely arrival and readiness across all assigned sites
