Job summary

The Walt Disney Company in Vero Beach is hiring Culinary Cast Members for part-time shifts across Quick Service, Full-Service, Banquet and Buffet setups. You will support food prep, ensure quality, and maintain a safe kitchen environment while delivering guest-focused service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Act as a vital member of the kitchen, keeping a safe, clean workspace across Quick Service, Full-Service, Banquet and Buffet locations.
• Prep food and operate equipment at all stations (AM/PM Pantry, Market, Pizza Oven).
• Monitor food quality and product standards.
• Collaborate with team and maintain Disney Look and grooming policies.

Just 2 hours southeast of Walt Disney World Resort, this elegant old-fashioned hideaway is located on Florida’s scenic Atlantic Treasure Coast near the charming community of Vero Beach.

Culinary cast members at Disney's Vero Beach Resort have the opportunity to provide first-rate dining experiences while working for one of the world’s leading entertainment and hospitality companies.

The Culinary I role is perfect for advancing the fundamental skills of a Culinary professional and close relationships among all levels of culinary allow for diverse learnings, from recipe preparation to knife skill and equipment upkeep.

Culinary Cast Members receive a starting rate of $24.60 per hour.

• Act as a vital member of the kitchen, providing a safe, clean and efficient workspace in a variety of dining locations, from Quick Service and Full-Service dining to Banquet and Buffet locations.
• Responsible for food and equipment prep at all stations including but not limited to AM/PM Pantry; AM/PM Market and Pizza Oven stations, within their kitchen and must be able to monitor food and product quality.
• In addition to having a high focus on Guest service, these Cast Members have a desire to learn, a passion for food service, and an interest in the culinary line of business.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Conversational communication skills are required for this role
• Must have a passion for Culinary, demonstrated by 6 months of recent Food & Beverage exposure.
• Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required
• Cast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Basic knowledge of sanitation and working safely in the kitchen

• Ability to prepare products according to recipe guidelines and maintain recipe and portioning standards

Part Time roles require FULL AVAILABILITY for any shift, a minimum of (3) three days per week, including nights, weekends and holidays.

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY

Our Resort operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as midnight. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.

This role pays $24.60 per hour.
