Job summary

The Cook 4 at Trilogy® at The Vineyards in Brentwood, CA is a full-time hourly position responsible for cooking, food preparation, and service. The role reports to the Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef and requires leadership during service, accuracy in plating, and a focus on guest satisfaction.

Compensation is $26–$27 per hour with a $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance, PTO, holidays, and a 401(k) plan after 30 days. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years’ cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Current Food Handlers card.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members.
• Ability to think, work, solve practical problems, and exercise good judgment.
• Must be self-motivated, proactive, and a team player.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Work and master all kitchen stations, including plating and expeditor.
• Lead kitchen training for new staff and cross-train existing staff.
• Proficient in plating all dishes and special dishes.
• Lead a kitchen service, read tickets, monitor ticket times, and ensure quality standards.
• Assist management with developing weekly and daily specials as needed.
• Ensure high standards of service to guests and employees; resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor cleaning schedules to maintain a sanitary kitchen environment.
• Read and follow cooking instructions; supervise food prep and serving techniques.
