Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a part-time Culinary Aide for evening shifts in Indiana. You will assist with meal preparation, portioning and service, ensuring residents receive safe, nutritious meals and maintaining a clean work environment.

Join our ASC team to support culinary leaders, collaborate with dining staff, and help deliver a positive dining experience for residents.

Qualifications

• Required: commitment to customer service
• Preferred: sanitation/safe food handling certification
• Preferred: prior restaurant server experience

Responsibilities

• Partner with culinary leaders to meet residents' dining needs and provide positive experiences
• Assist in preparation and portioning of meal items per menu and resident diets
• Set up trays and carts in preparation for service to residents
• Work with service staff to collect soiled trays and wash dishes
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workplace and clean equipment as needed

Key Responsibilities Of a Server Include

• Partner with culinary leaders to best meet the needs of residents to provide a positive dining experience.
• Assist in the preparation and portions of meal items according to the menu and resident diet requirements.
• Set up trays and carts in preparation for service to residents.
• Work with service staff to collect soiled trays and wash dishes.
• Cleans equipment as needed, maintaining a clean and sanitary workplace.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling, unless required by State and Federal agencies. Certifications can be earned while employed with ASC.
• Preferred: Prior restaurant server experience.
• Required: Commitment to customer service
• Required: Willingness to perform routine tasks and effectively work alongside culinary team and leaders.
