Job summary

Heritage Senior Communities is seeking a Culinary Aide for a part-time shift from 4 PM to 7 PM. You will serve food at the correct temperatures, assist with tray returns, and help residents choose substitutions when needed.

Responsibilities include kitchen sanitation, dishwashing, and keeping the dining area clean after meals. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and there are opportunities for advancement and pay raises.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to serve food safely and maintain cleanliness.
• Willingness to assist residents and work as part of a team.

• Return plates to the kitchen and assist with tray duties.
• Offer substitutes when residents decline a menu item.
• Wash and sanitise dishware and utensils.
• Clean the dining room after meals and maintain tabletop cleanliness.
• Pour beverages and assist residents in the dining room.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors after each meal.
• Put away cleaned dishes and reset dining area.

Responsibilities

• Serve food properly & at the correct temperature
• Return plates to the kitchen
• Offer substitute items when residents decline a menu item
• Return meal trays from rooms back to the kitchen
• Pour coffee & beverages for residents in the dining room
• Wash and sanitise dishware and utensils
• Clean the dining room after meals (sanitise tabletops, wipe down chairs, vacuum, clean salt and pepper shakers, sugar dish, etc.)
• Put away cleaned dishes
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors after each meal
