Job summary

LifeSkills Connection Inc. seeks a Center Manager to oversee the Career Technical Training Center, ensuring data confidentiality and alignment with DOL goals. You will supervise staff, drive student training, and coordinate certifications and placement outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years of CTE experience, plus at least two years of teaching experience, with a valid driver's license. Equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Follow integrity guidelines and ensure no manipulation of student data

• Interview, hire, discipline, evaluate performance, and fill staff vacancies in the Career Technical Training Department
• Provide students with training leading to Career Technical Training completion and industry-recognized certifications
• Provide students with case management that ensures progress, achievement, and completion of the Job Corps program
• Ensure instructors provide quality training and monitor program objectives to meet goals
• Maintain a clean, safe learning environment and motivate staff to perform their duties
• Develop community linkages for education, employment, and work-based learning
• Comply with DOL guidelines, OFCCP, QA plans, and center policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Responsible for the management of the Career Technical Training Center to provide students with industry-recognized training and certifications leading to full-time jobs, higher education or advanced training. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.

Administration Procedures

• Follow all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensure no manipulation of student data
• Ensure Center meets or exceeds DOL/Company performance goals
• Interview, recommend for hire, discipline, recommend for termination, and evaluate the performance of the employees in the Career Technical Training Department; Fill staff vacancies in a timely manner
• Provide students with training leading to Career Technical Training completion and industry-recognized certifications
• Provide students with comprehensive and individualized case management that ensures student progress, achievement, and completion of the Job Corps program
• Ensure instructors provide quality career technical training that leads to student placement; Track and monitor program objectives to ensure goals are met
• Ensure that area of oversight is organized, clean, safe and conducive to student learning
• Effectively motivate, empower, and require staff to perform his/her job responsibilities
• Employ sound time-management and delegation skills; Hold staff accountable for producing quality work, develop staff for career progression, and discipline staff that fail to meet goals
• Provide required and supplemental training for new and current employees
• Motivate and manage staff to work effectively, create a supportive work environment, recognize staff accomplishments, and proactively address staff performance concerns
• Develop Center-beneficial linkages within the community for education, employment, Career Technical Training and work-based learning (WBL)
• Promote a positive image of the Center and Job Corps and establish meaningful relationships with elected officials
• Demonstrate and abide by LifeSkills Connection’s core values and operating principles
• Comply with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), LifeSkills Connection Inc.’s policies and procedures, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures
• Participate in PRH mandated staff training; Failure to participate may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience

A minimum of two years' experience in teaching or a related field required. Prefer Job Corps or related program experience.
