Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. is seeking a dedicated career counselor to support Job Corps students with individualized counseling, planning, and transition services.

You will guide students toward employment, education, and career success while aligning with DOL and company standards. You will also build strong employer relationships to create meaningful opportunities and provide resources for job development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field from an accredited school
• Or an Associate's degree with two years related experience required
• Valid in-state driver's license and ability to meet company insurability requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized career counseling, mentoring, and transition support to students preparing for life after Job Corps
• Develop, monitor, and update student transition plans focused on employment, education, and career success
• Support students in achieving placement goals while meeting DOL and company performance standards
• Build relationships with employers, community organizations, and industry partners to create meaningful career opportunities
• Conduct job development activities and connect students with employment, training, and education resources
• Identify and address barriers that impact student success through effective case management and problem-solving
• Maintain accurate student documentation while following all integrity guidelines and confidentiality requirements
• Collaborate with Career Technical Training (CTT), Career Transition, and center staff to provide comprehensive student support
• Mentor students in Career Success Standards, professionalism, accountability, and workplace readiness

Education

Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, Education, Social Science, Business, Communications, or closely related field from an accredited school

Associate's degree in one of the fields above plus two years of related experience

• Must possess a valid instate Drivers License and meet the Company insurability requirements.
