Job summary

Comcast Technology Solutions is seeking a hands-on engineer to design, build, and deliver customer-specific integrations on top of the CTS Video Platform. You will work directly with customers while remaining deeply involved in software development and technical implementation.

Join a multi-disciplinary team of 30+ engineers delivering premium video solutions worldwide. The role requires Java, Groovy, Python, AWS, REST, and video streaming expertise; Kubernetes and Docker are a plus.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java & Groovy for customer integrations and backend services.
• Strong Python skills for automation and data transformation.
• Experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience designing REST APIs and integration frameworks.
• Knowledge of video streaming workflows, DRM, transcoding, and delivery.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver customer-specific solutions by extending the CTS Video Platform.
• Collaborate with customers, Solution Architects, Project Managers, and engineering teams to translate requirements into implementations.
• Build integrations connecting customer systems, workflows, and metadata with CTS products and services.
• Develop data ingestion, transformation, and automation for large-scale content operations.
• Participate in technical workshops and customer engagements throughout projects.
• Troubleshoot production issues and work with global support teams to resolve them.
• Improve engineering processes, tooling, and delivery practices for quality and efficiency.
• Document solutions and procedures to support long-term customer success.

About the team

The CTS Professional Services team works with our customers to build and deploy solutions that create engaging video experiences with our “Video Platform” product. The core product is built by CTS in Denver and Chennai, and we are responsible for getting it delivered to our global clients (Americas, UK, Europe, and APAC). We work with many types and styles of integrations, partnering with our customers to integrate with their unique workflows and solve their business problems. We are a multi‑disciplinary team with 30+ engineers working across our vast platform on multiple projects. We value transparency, accountability, shared responsibility and teamwork. We’re focused on our customers, and CTS's mission is to provide innovative, premium video solutions to broadcasters, content providers and operators. Most engineers work across the entire stack, although many have expertise with specific technologies and domains. We deploy to production often and have full ownership of releases and the tools we use.

What you’ll work on

• Design and deliver customer‑specific solutions that extend and integrate with the CTS Video Platform.
• Partner with customers, Solution Architects, Project Managers, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical implementations.

Must Have Skills

• Java & Groovy for customer integrations, platform extensions, and backend services.
• Python for automation, tooling, metadata transformation, and operational workflows.
• AWS Services including Lambda, S3, and other cloud‑native technologies used throughout the CTS platform.
• REST APIs and Integration Frameworks for connecting customer applications and third‑party systems.
• Video Streaming Technologies including transcoding workflows, DRM, ad insertion, and media processing.
• Streaming Protocols such as HLS, DASH, and related content delivery technologies.

Nice to Have

• Kubernetes, Docker, JavaScript, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
