Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Certified Recreation Therapist to provide clinical services, assessments, and therapeutic activities to clients within a collaborative healthcare setting.

As part of a dedicated team, you will contribute to individualized treatment plans, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and promote patient wellness through recreational therapy and group activities.

Qualifications

• Education, knowledge, skills and abilities required include a High School diploma or GED.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a positive client experience and participates in wellness and recovery models.
• Documentation: Initial assessment completed accurately and timely.
• Documentation: Progress notes completed accurately and timely.
• Develops treatment plans using recreational assessment; plans are individualized and measurable.
• Assists with comprehensive assessment and demonstrates clinical competence.
• Participates in performance improvement activities within the department.
• Keeps knowledge current and shares information from conferences and training.
