Job summary

River Vista Behavioral Health in the Central Valley seeks a forward-thinking Certified Recreation/Activity Therapist (CTRS) to join the Social Services Team. You will plan and implement activity services for an assigned program, collaborating with the interdisciplinary treatment team to define treatment goals and support patient care.

The CTRS will provide ongoing observation and role modeling, tailor interventions to diverse ages including children and adults, and ensure documentation aligns

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Art, Music, Recreation Therapy, humanities, social work or related therapeutic discipline.
• 1 year of related psychiatric patient care experience preferred.
• CTR S certification/licensure required.
• CPR certification and Handle with Care training required or may be obtained during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activity services for the assigned program.
• Define and implement treatment goals as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Provide continuous patient care, observation, and role modeling to patients.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in treatment notes.
• Demonstrate professional conduct and patient advocacy within the care plan.
