Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, seeks a Therapeutic Recreational Specialist CTRS for California assignments. Deliver home and community-based therapy, assess patients, and develop individualized plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation Therapy or equivalent.
• CTRT certification by the NCTRC.
• Active license or certification as required by state.
• Minimum of two years therapeutic therapy experience and program design.
• Experience with neurologic or orthopedic injuries/conditions.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organization and attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive evaluations and sets measurable goals with the rehab team.
• Adjusts treatment to maximize independence and function.
• Plans, organizes, and coordinates recreation activities and leisure skills.
• Interviews patients to assess capabilities and barriers; monitors progress.
• Designs community reintegration activities for physical and cognitive needs.
• Regularly reassesses treatment plan and progress; modify goals as needed.
• Communicates needs and progress to the treatment team and family.
• Maintains documentation for evaluation, treatment, and billing per regulations.
• Adheres to company conduct, HIPAA, and professional standards.
• May work with rehab specialists in implementing the plan.

This isn't traditional therapy. Our clinicians meet clients where life happens, helping them navigate real-world challenges and milestones. One day you may be working with a client in their kitchen as they prepare a meal independently. Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive evaluations, assessing the needs of the patients, and sets measurable objectives and goals that are formulated in conjunction with the rehabilitation team
• Adjusts treatment to achieve maximum results in independence and/or function
• Plans, organizes, and coordinates recreation activities, functional leisure skills, and leisure education
• Interviews the patient to assess capabilities/interests/barriers. Monitors progress and recommends changes/modifications to program as necessary
• Designs community reintegration activities to assist the patient with their physical and cognitive needs during physical recreational/leisure activity Assists the patient in understanding their various needs and limitations and how to manage them during function
• Regularly re-assesses effectiveness of treatment plan, progress of patient towards goals and the need for modifying goals or treatment
• Communicates patient's needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, patient, family members, and others as applicable
• Observes/documents and reports changes in the condition/status of the person receiving services to the Clinical Coordinator, Program Manager or DCM, attending physician and other treatment team members
• Consults with medical providers regarding patient evaluation & treatment, progress of the patient & discharge from treatment
• Maintains and submits evaluation, treatment and billing documentation in the format and timelines required by the Company, facility, funding source, local, state and federal regulation
• Adheres to standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, policies, HIPAA and Corporate Compliance programs and appropriate professional practice standards and applicable state/federal laws
• May work with rehabilitation specialists in fulfilling the patient's treatment plan through instruction in patient-related activities to be carried out by the rehabilitation specialist with supervision provided by the Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation Therapy, or the equivalent
• Maintains certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Therapist (CTRT) through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC)
• Maintains professional license and/or certification if required by the state in which the CTRS practices
• Minimum of two years therapeutic therapy experience and therapeutic recreation program design
• Experience working with patients with neurologic or orthopedic injuries or conditions
• Demonstrates effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and part of a team
• Demonstrates strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Has reliable transportation and can travel to/from multiple assignments/locations on a daily basis
