Job summary

Butler County Schools in Alabama seeks a Career & Technical Education (CTE) Teacher to provide an engaging educational atmosphere that supports students' growth across intellectual, emotional, physical and psychological domains.

The teacher will craft long-range plans, select instructional activities, assess student achievement, and collaborate with staff to improve learning outcomes within the district’s curriculum priorities.

Qualifications

Certified by the Certification Deportment of the State of Alabama in the appropriate area.
High School Diploma or GED and vocational training/college coursework/military training required for Alabama Teacher Certification.
Work experience in the technical skills, trade, or vocations to be taught are required.

Responsibilities

Create or select long-range plans based on system and state curriculum priorities, student profiles and instructional priorities.
Define goals and objectives for unit and daily plans.
Sequence content and activities appropriately.
Identify specific intended learning outcomes which are challenging, meaningful and measurable.
Revise plans based on student needs.
Plan and prepare a variety of learning activities considering individual student’s culture, learning styles and needs.
