Job summary

Qualifications

  • Master's degree required; consideration for those near completion with date.
  • Minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative or leadership experience in postsecondary education or technical education.
  • Knowledge of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act and postsecondary CTE accountability frameworks.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and assess CTE curriculum and programs.
  • Experience in budget development, fiscal management, and resource allocation.
  • Strong record of building partnerships with employers, industry, and community organizations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
  • Commitment to student access and success.
  • Must meet qualifications to obtain Idaho State Career Technical Administrator's Certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Academic Leadership & Curriculum: Lead all programs in the School of Career & Technical Education; oversee Adult Learning and Workforce Training; coordinate with allied health and NWCCU standards; supervise assessment of learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
  • Personnel & Faculty Development: Hire, supervise, mentor, and evaluate CTE faculty and staff; oversee teaching assignments and workload; promote instructional excellence and governance participation.
  • Budget, Grants & Resource Management: Develop and manage annual CTE budget; lead Perkins V grant administration; pursue additional funding for program expansion and equipment upgrades.
  • Student Success & Enrollment: Drive recruitment, retention, and completion strategies; coordinate with Admissions and Financial Aid; design pathways from high school to LC State CTE programs; track enrollment data.
  • Workforce & Community Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with regional employers and industry groups; participate in state and national workforce coalitions.
  • Strategic Planning & Institutional Collaboration: Contribute to LC State strategic plan; participate in leadership meetings and accreditation processes; report on CTE performance to leadership.
