Job summary

UF Health in Leesburg, FL is seeking a CT/X-ray Radiologic Technologist to join our 24/7 radiology team. You will perform CT and X-ray duties, minimize radiation exposure, and work under supervision with radiologists and the department manager to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include operating CT and X-ray modalities and contributing to a collaborative, efficient workflow in a busy emergency/urgent care setting. Florida licensure and ARRT credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology.
• Post high school special training completed.
• Cross-trained in CT/X-ray modalities.
• State license/certification requirements per Florida

Responsibilities

• Perform CT or X-ray and general Radiology Technologist duties as directed by the supervisor and department manager.
• Respond to patient needs and support colleagues to ensure quality patient care.
• Demonstrate safe practices to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Department Manager and in association with the radiologists, the technologist conducts themselves in a professional manner, responding to patient needs and supporting their colleagues and associates in providing quality patient care. Under the direction of the supervisor, this position must perform all functions related to multiple modalities: including CT or Xray and general Radiology Technologist duties.

The CT/Xray Technologist performs services in accordance to an accepted standard of practice and demonstrates expertise in minimizing radiation exposure to the patient, self and other members of the health care team.

Qualifications

   1. Post High School Special Training
   2. Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology
   3. Cross-trained in Cat Scan
2. Licensure/Certification/Registration
   1. State of FL Certified Radiologic Technologist General Radiographer qualifications license required (Computer Tomography qualifications preferred)
   2. ARRT(R) required
   3. ARRT(CT) preferred
   4. BLS required

   1. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
