MedCurate, Inc. in Brookfield, MO is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist (CT/X-ray) for a PRN opportunity. The role supports physicians by performing diagnostic imaging across CT, X-ray, MRI, and related modalities.

Responsibilities include patient prep, positioning, image capture, documenting in PACS, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with Radiologists. Requirements include degree in Radiography, state license, strong communication, and CPR certification preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiography or Radiologic Technology.
  • State license and certification to practice.
  • Excellent communication and patient service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Complete intake, history, and education for imaging procedures.
  • Review charts and notes and maintain records during/after examinations.
  • Position patients and equipment to capture correct images.
  • Monitor patient safety during imaging procedures.
  • Calibrate equipment for clear, accurate images.
  • Log images in PACS and ensure image quality.
  • Consult with radiologists to determine additional images if needed.
  • Sterilize and maintain radiographic equipment and report issues.
  • Coordinate with radiology to schedule procedures.
  • Stay updated on current radiology practices.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
  • Adhere to the facility's Standards of Excellence.

Job description

MedCurate, Inc. is seeking an experienced CT/ X - Ray Technician for a prn opportunity in Brookfield, MO- Shift needs: Weekends and Tuesdays.

Pay per shift and payment is initiated within 72 hours!

Job Summary: A Radiologic Technologist assists Physicians to identify illnesses and injuries through using diagnostic imaging equipment such as x-ray, CT, MRI, and mammography machines. The Radiologic Technologist may specialize in one type of diagnostic imaging, for example, a CT Technologist, or may specialize in several different types.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Completing the patients' intake process, taking patients' histories, and preparing and educating patients about the imaging procedure.
  • Reviewing patients' charts and Doctors' notes before the examination, and maintaining patients' records during and after procedures.
  • Positioning patients and equipment to capture the correct area and produce clear images.
  • Monitoring patients and ensuring their safety during imaging procedures.
  • Calibrating the equipment to ensure clear, usable images are taken of the correct area, as specified by the Doctor.
  • Logging and organizing image results, uploading and managing digital images in PACS system, evaluating image quality and ensuring diagnostic standards before submission to the Radiologist, and consulting with Radiologists to determine if other images need to be taken.
  • Ensuring the proper sterilization and storage of the equipment, maintaining radiographic equipment, and reporting any equipment failures.
  • Coordinating with the radiology department to schedule and complete radiographic procedures.
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of current radiology practices.
  • Performs other duties as needed.
  • Adheres to the facility's Standards of Excellence.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Must satisfactorily complete the on-the-job training provided by the Supervisor during a probationary period unless extension is granted by the manager.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and certification for CPR preferred.
Education and Experience:
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiography or Radiologic Technology.
  • A state license and certification to practice.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
