Job summary

OakBend Medical Center in Wharton, Texas is seeking a CT Technologist to provide high-quality radiological services according to physician orders. The ideal candidate will have previous CT experience and be certified by the Texas Medical Board.

Qualifications

• Must have previous CT experience.
• Registered ARRT; CT Registered/Registry eligible within 90 days of hire.
• Certified by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT).
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required.

Job Overview

Under the general supervision of the Radiology Manager, the CT Technologist is responsible for the provision of radiological services to patients according to physician’s orders. Provides for patient safety and high quality testing.

Minimum Education

Graduate of an accredited or registered school of Radiologic Technology.

Minimum Work Experience

Must have previous CT experience.

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Registered ARRT; CT Registered/Registry eligible within 90 days of hire.
• Certified by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT).
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required.

Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation necessary as driving between campuses is required.

Knowledge of procedures, patient safety, radiation safety and quality patient care. Ability to generate quality images in a timely manner. Successful completion of the hospital or department specific training course.
