Job summary

The Indian Health Service seeks a X-Ray Technologist (CT) to perform CT and diagnostic radiology procedures, support trauma and emergency care, and deliver imaging services to American Indian communities.

You will operate CT equipment, administer contrast materials, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with radiologists while maintaining electronic imaging documentation.

On-call and rotating shifts may be required; background checks and compliance with health policies are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Credentialing required: accredited radiologic technology program and current radiographer certification/registration.
• U.S. Citizenship and selective service rules may apply; background checks required.
• Experience with CT and diagnostic radiology procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations using established imaging protocols.
• Administer and monitor contrast materials with patient safety in mind.
• Operate CT equipment, set technical factors, and obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Conduct quality control, radiation safety, and troubleshooting for CT operations.
• Collaborate with radiologists and providers; maintain electronic imaging documentation.

Current certification/registration as a radiographer
