Job summary

Requires radiologic technology certification, ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS depending on modality, and BLS. Eligible for internal opportunities within Banner Health with registry/per diem flexibility.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS certification and state licensure as applicable.
• BLS certification and typically 2+ years radiologic technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs prescribed procedures by following orders and department policies.
• Educates patients about procedures and demonstrates professional conduct.
• Produces high quality images and prepares them with relevant patient information.
• Assesses competency to perform prescribed invasive/interventional procedures when applicable.
• Performs equipment quality control and maintains a safe environment.
• Maintains confidentiality and handles ethical, legal responsibilities.
• Ensures department workflow efficiency and stocks supplies.
• Rotates scheduling to cover shifts where needed based on certifications.
