Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT and XR exams on the Night shift. You will operate scanners, injectors, monitors and related equipment following established protocols to ensure patient safety and high-quality imaging.

The role requires ARRT CT and Radiography certification, BLS, and an associate degree in radiologic technology. You will support patient education, infection control, and room readiness while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in radiologic technology required.
• AMA JCERT accreditation or equivalent preferred.
• BLS required; RT(R) and RT(CT) ARRRT certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT and XR exams using established protocols.
• Operate imaging equipment safely with attention to patient age and safety.
• Screen patients for radiation exposure and allergies; follow infection control standards.
• Maintain an organized, stocked, and clean imaging room.
• Provide patient education and assist with scheduling and records as needed.
• Assist with clerical duties such as answering phones and filing.

Job Description

• CT Technologist, StaffFlex contract
• $65.45/hr +diffs
• Float between Ocoee and Millenia ED
• Full time; Mon-Thur: 8:30p - 7:00a
• No on-call
• CT and XR experience [Required]
• American Heart Assoc BLS required before start date
• Performs all exams using established protocols, ensuring proper patient identification and education prior to the exam.
• Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and medical equipment, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.
• Screens patients of childbearing age and minimizes radiation exposure to patients, families, and co-workers, while practicing infection control standards and using approved PPE and disinfectant agents.
• Positions patients and equipment, selects technical factors, and produces radiographic images that meet Radiologist’s standards in a safe and timely manner.
• Performs clerical duties such as answering telephones, completing patient records, filing, and scheduling.
• Provides direct patient care within the technologist’s scope of practice, utilizing proper infection control techniques.
• Monitors patient condition, ensuring comfort, safety, and privacy, while obtaining and documenting patient history and explaining procedures.
• Maintains a properly stocked, organized, and clean room.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages.
• Screens patients for any contrast allergies.
• Adapts imaging protocols as necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
