Job summary

UCHealth’s Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs, CO seeks an experienced Radiologic Technologist specialized in MRI and CT imaging. You will perform MRI and CT exams on days, with a full-time schedule, and a competitive hourly pay rate.

Relocation assistance up to $20,000 is available for qualified candidates. Candidates must be ARRT registered in MR and CT, hold state licensure if required, and have BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • Registered in MR and CT by ARRT.
  • State licensure if required by law.
  • BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross for Professionals with card valid through start date.

Responsibilities

  • Review patient history and orders; educate patient on procedures.
  • Administer contrast media and monitor patient condition.
  • Prepare equipment, select imaging factors, ensure safety and quality control; report malfunctions.
  • Position patient and perform imaging; analyze results and address image quality issues.
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results.

Description

Location: UCHealth Yampa Valley Med Center, Steamboat Springs, CO.

Department: YVMC Radiology

Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $45.44 - $63.62 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant‘s relevant experience

Qualified candidates may be considered for relocation assistance of up to $20,000.

Summary: Performs magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Reviews patient history, physician‘s orders and does scheduling. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient‘s understanding and cooperation.
  • When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including re-positioning patient and repeating procedure.
  • Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. Registered as a (RT) and registered in magnetic resonance imaging (MR) and computed tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). State licensure if required by law.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
