Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson, MT is seeking a CT Technologist to perform radiographic procedures under the supervision of a radiologist.

The role requires independent judgment and adherence to safety standards, with involvement in department call and clinical activities. Minimum qualifications include accreditation in Radiologic Technology, MT licensure, BLS, ARRT radiography, and within one year CT/NT credentials.

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Upon hire: Montana Radiologic Technologist.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - ARRT.
• Within 1 year: National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures under the direction of a radiologist.
• Provide radiology services with appropriate radiation protection.
• Assume assigned administrative tasks and participate in ongoing education and orientation.

Description

The CT Technologist, under the direction of a radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. The CT Technologist will provide services timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department. This requires independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in special procedures for a radiologic diagnosis, whether scheduled or emergent, while providing radiation protection according to prescribed safety standards. The CT Technologist will also perform tasks and duties as outlined in the Radiology Department's Policy and Procedures Manual; will assist in assigned administrative tasks and will maintain clinical competencies through participation in educational and orientation programs. He/she will also participate in the clinical activities, including call, within the outlined department

Required Qualifications

Pay Range: $35.52 - $55.15
