Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associates degree from an approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT registration as a Registered Technologist.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ARRT-CT credential within six months of hire, if applicable.
  • Maintain ARRT/ NMTCB certification and licensure.
  • ARRT-CT eligibility pathways may apply.
  • Enrolled in an ARRT CT program or recent graduation from an approved CT program.

Job Summary

Grady Health System is seeking a PRN / Pool CT Technologist to perform advanced computed tomography imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist. This role is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images that support accurate and timely clinical interpretation while delivering patient-centered imaging services.

The CT Technologist performs imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards, utilizing CT imaging equipment and related technologies to obtain diagnostic images across multiple anatomical planes. In collaboration with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams, the technologist supports efficient imaging operations while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, comfort, and care.

In this role, the CT Technologist provides flexible coverage based on departmental needs and plays a key role in maintaining efficient patient flow and examination throughput during assigned shifts. The technologist must demonstrate strong technical expertise, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to deliver high-quality imaging services within a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT imaging procedures in accordance with established imaging protocols and radiologist direction
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images to support accurate clinical interpretation
  • Monitor and support patient safety, comfort, and care throughout imaging procedures
  • Utilize CT scanners and related imaging technologies to perform diagnostic studies
  • Support efficient patient flow and examination throughput during assigned shifts
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and departmental standards
  • Maintain compliance with licensure, certification, and continuing education requirements
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate's Degree from an approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Registered Technologist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • ARRT-CT certification within six (6) months of hire , if applicable
  • Must remain in good standing with the ARRT or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) by maintaining required continuing education credits and completing annual license renewal
  • ARRT-CT Eligibility Pathways (Applicants May Be)
  • Enrolled in an approved ARRT institution with an accredited Computed Tomography (CT) program
  • A recent graduate of an approved ARRT institution with an accredited CT program and eligible for ARRT-CT certification
  • An experienced Registered Technologist eligible for ARRT-CT certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Preferred Qualifications
