Job summary

Bright Light Medical Imaging in Bedford Park, IL is seeking a CT Technologist (PRN Saturdays) to support imaging exams. The role requires ARRT certification, CT experience, and ability to work independently on Siemens CT systems.

This onsite position offers competitive hourly pay, on-site training, and opportunities for growth within a physician-led imaging team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiological technology program and/or accredited CT program.
• ARRT registration in radiography with CT preferred.
• Previous experience in diagnostic radiology/imaging setting.
• Familiarity with Siemens CT equipment slice scanners.
• Proficiency running advanced CT studies independently.
• IEMA Licensure and CPR-BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Document the medical history of the patient prior to any examination.
• Sterilize room and ensure adequate supplies.
• Position patient to obtain correct imaging while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Administer aseptic contrast injections.
• Address patient concerns and explain CT process to reduce anxiety.
• Maintain CT equipment per standards and participate in quality improvement.
• Provide education and direction to new technologists.
• Accurately document CT data into patient charts.
• Perform imaging procedures in a timely and efficient manner per radiologist protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk as required.

CT Technologist (PRN Saturdays) – Technologists, Bedford Park, Illinois

Employment Type: As needed/PRN

Compensation: $37.00-$50.00 / per hour

Location: Onsite Bedford Park
Days/Hours: Saturdays, with hours varying between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Overview Of Key Responsibilities:

• Document the medical history of the patient prior to any examination
• Maintains cleanliness of room, sterilize equipment and keep adequate stock of supplies on hand
• Carefully position patient in order to obtain correct imaging, ensuring patient is comfortable and safe throughout procedure
• Administration of aseptic injection technique for contrast
• Address patient concerns during procedure, and explain CT process using tact, courtesy and poise to reduce anxiety to obtain patient cooperation
• Maintains quality of CT equipment by following company standards and procedures, and promotes continuous quality improvement
• Provide education, training and direction to new technologists
• Accurately document CT data into patient's chart
• According to department standards and protocols set by radiologist , perform all job related functions as a CT Technologist, including all imaging procedures in a timely and efficient manner, and communicate related information to appropriate physician
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• Frequent lifting/movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance
• Must be able to stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions
