Job summary

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist for a PRN position. The CT Technologist performs CT diagnostic procedures as outlined by the radiologist and operates imaging equipment. The role includes room preparation, image verification, and ensuring high-quality CT scans.

• SCRQSA certification required upon hire.
• BLS – Healthcare provider on hire or within 30 days of hire.
• CT registry preferred, but not required, within 6 months of orientation; SCRQSA/ARRT obtained.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT diagnostic procedures as outlined by the radiologist.
• Operate diagnostic equipment, verify images and prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Assist in the medical imaging department to ensure high-quality CT scans; provide clerical and scheduling support as needed.
• Assist in diagnostic work area as needed; may supervise students as directed by area supervisor.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Technologist performscomputerized tomography diagnostic procedures as outlined by the radiologist. Operates diagnostic equipment,verifiesimagesand prepares room with necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. Technologist isresponsible forassistingin the primary mission of the medical imaging department by ensuring that proper diagnostic information is provided through the production ofhigh-qualityCT scans. Other dutiesinclude, butare not limited to; clerical, scheduling, diagnostic imaging, transportation, ordering supplies, inventory,cleaningand anythingdeemednecessary by the medical imaging management team. Assistin diagnostic work area as needed. Job may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor. Employeemust have the same licensure or have completed the sametraining tosatisfy the requirements of the discipline of the student. Direct supervisionmeansthe primary caregiver is readily available to the student throughout the shift.

• CT registrypreferred,but notrequired,within 6 months of departmental orientation completion date, at which point SCRQSA ARRT will be obtained.
