Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital in Mooresville, NC is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join our imaging team. You will perform complex CT exams, support radiologists, and ensure patient safety in a 123-bed Level III Trauma Hospital.

The department uses Siemens Alpha and GE 64-slice CT technology; prior cardiac CT experience is preferred. This PRN role requires a minimum of four shifts per month and includes responsibilities across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient imaging.

Qualificações

• Graduate or completion of program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a certified CT Technologist.
• ARRT CT certification within 18 months of employment; other radiography/nuclear medicine certs accepted.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsabilidades

• Perform exams accurately per established protocols and patient safety standards.

Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join our dedicated imaging team and provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. We are a 123-bed, Level III Trauma Hospital providing a wide range of services to patients throughout the region. Our CT team supports a diverse patient population across the Emergency Department, inpatient units, and outpatient services, playing an important role in the diagnosis and treatment of our patients.

Our CT department is equipped with Siemens Alpha and GE 64-slice CT technology, providing technologists with the opportunity to work with advanced imaging equipment while performing a broad range of diagnostic examinations. The department supports patients across multiple care settings, including emergency, inpatient, and outpatient imaging. Experience with cardiac CT or CT procedures is preferred.

What You Will Do

• Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners, power injectors, and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures.
• Position patients for CT scans using patient positioning devices and protective equipment as necessary.
• Perform exams accurately per established protocols, policy, and patient safety standards.
• Assist radiologist with imaging procedures, starting IV's, and injecting contrast, if applicable.
• Assist radiologist with interventional CT procedures.
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure and appropriately label.
• Film/transmit to Image Archival System.
• Schedule patients for procedures; assist with clerical functions.
• Charge procedures and supplies in EHR.
• Dispense and or order oral contrast to patients for CT scans.
• Maintain accurate patient records. Provide orientation and training to new CT technologists.
• Provide care for the psychological and physical needs of patients and their families for CT scans.
• Provide education and training to student technologists. Perform other related duties incidental to the work therein.
• Coordinate scheduling and patient flow Demonstrate proficiency in IV placement for contrast administration.
• Demonstrate proficiency and accuracy in performance of all exam protocols.
• Assist with the education and training of new physicians (interns, residents, fellows, and attending's).
• If applicable. Assist radiologists and PhD's in developing new protocols and CT imaging techniques that are unique to facility.
• Perform CT specific technical assistance with projects assigned by supervisor including but not limited to: Team lead, R & D, protocol development, charge reconciliation and demonstration of equipment.

Education

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate or completion of program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification or currently holds required registry or certification.

Experience

• Minimum of one (1) year of experince as a certified CT Technologist preferred
• Experience with Cardiac CT and/or procedures highly preferred

Degrees, Licensures, And/or Certifications

• Certification in one the following required: Radiography (R), Radiation Therapy (T), Nuclear Medicine Technology (N), CNMT.
• ARRT registered in Computed Tomography (CT) required within 18 months of employment.
• BLS certification
