Job summary

Provident Behavioral Health in Birmingham, AL is seeking a CT technologist to perform computerized tomographic procedures following radiologist protocols. You will prepare and position patients, administer contrast within scope, monitor activity and ensure radiation safety.

The role requires completing Radiology Technology program and ARRT-R and ARRT-CT credentials within 12 months. Per diem shifts available with competitive pay starting at $34 per hour.

Qualifications

Job description

Role Overview: Performs computerized tomographic (CT) procedures to assist in diagnosing diseases and injuries, following radiologist-established protocols. The role involves preparing and positioning patients, administering contrast media or medications within scope, monitoring patient activity, and ensuring radiation safety. The position requires performing at least three procedures such as biopsies, TAVR, coronary, extremity work for OR planning, ablations, or fiducial placement.

• Responsibilities: Accurately position patients, select technical parameters, administer contrast/media, observe and report abnormal activity, follow safety guidelines, and perform other duties as assigned.
• Qualifications: Completion of Radiology Technology program, current ARRT-R credential, and ARRT-CT certification within 12 months. No prior experience required.
• Skills & Physical Demands: Constant standing, walking, visual and auditory acuity, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs, and performing repetitive movements. Ability to communicate effectively and work safely is essential.
• Licenses & Certifications: Valid BLS-HCP, ARRT-R, ARRT-CT or equivalent certifications depending on state requirements.
