MedStar Health is seeking a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team! This is a PRN position requiring coverage from 3p-11p and 11p-7a.

We are looking for an individual certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), with knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.

The CT Technologist will produce radiographs using a computerized tomographic scanner of designated anatomical areas, such as abdominal, retroperitoneal, obstetric, and gynecology regions.

Primary Duties

• Performs CAT Scan radiology studies, obtains patient history, explains procedures, and addresses concerns. Performs CT techniques and examinations including abdominal, retroperitoneal, obstetrics, gynecology scans, radiation therapy localization, and minor surgical procedures.
• Performs IV access and contrast injections per departmental policy.
• Requests and orders supplies as needed to maintain inventory.
• Reviews and evaluates completed tests for quality, completeness, and correctness. Ensures quality images and operates equipment as directed.
• Transports patients to the CT scan room, prepares, and maintains the room for daily activities.

Qualifications

• Training in computer-assisted tomography.
• CT experience or completion of a certified CT program.
• ARRT or NMTCB license with the necessary paperwork on file with the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Associate’s degree preferred.

This position offers a hiring range of $34.98 - $59.26.
