Qualifications

• Current State of Texas License as a Radiology Technologist.
• Associate Degree in Applied Science – Radiology or hospital-based AMA approved program.
• ARRT (R) or eligible; CT certification pursued within 12 months of eligibility.
• Cross-sectional anatomy training completed.
• 1 year of experience as a diagnostic technologist.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures and uses equipment and accessories per designed purpose.
• Assesses patient needs, exercises judgment, and acts in the patient’s best interest.
• Observes and gathers information to aid physician diagnosis within scope.
• Minimizes radiation exposure to patient, self, and team; adheres to standards of practice.
• Progresses on Radiology Career Ladder as per evaluation and policy.
