Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Maintain current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• Valid licensure as Radiologic Technologist (State of Alabama).
• One of: ARRT (R), ARRT (CT) or NMTCB CT certification.

Responsibilities

• Exercise professional judgment in performance of imaging services.
• Deliver appropriate imaging care while recognizing patient conditions.
• Comply with state and federal regulations relevant to each modality.
• Position patient and equipment to obtain high quality diagnostic images.
• Assess images for technical quality and proper patient identification.
• Apply radiation safety principles to minimize exposure.
• Supervise and train student technologists.
• Maintain documentation and use radiology computer systems effectively.

Education

Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification

Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure (State of Alabama)

ARRT or NMTCB CT certification
