A healthcare organization in Austin, Texas is looking for a CT Technologist responsible for performing CT scans and ensuring high-quality imaging. The ideal candidate will possess an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology, have an understanding of anatomy, and excel in patient care. This role involves working independently as well as being part of a team, maintaining safety protocols, and managing imaging equipment.
Qualifications
1+ year of experience as a CT Technologist preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Capacity to lift and position patients and stand for extended periods.
Responsibilities
Interpret physician orders and execute CT scans accordingly.
Explain the CT scan process to patients and answer any questions.
Position patients properly to obtain optimal images.
Administer contrast dyes intravenously when necessary.
Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure accurate diagnoses.
Skills
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Proficiency in operating CT scanning equipment
Excellent patient care and communication skills
Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy
Education
Associates degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
