Job summary

ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital in Defiance, OH, is seeking a CT Technologist in Radiology for per diem shifts. You will operate CT equipment, select technical factors, and collaborate with radiologists to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging with emphasis on patient safety and comfort.

You will administer and document contrast as directed, maintain radiation safety, and support CT procedures across all ages. Training new CT associates may be part of the role.

Qualifications

• Completed formal radiologic technology training from an AMA-approved or HLC-accredited school.
• Able to cope with stressful settings in a fast-paced medical environment.
• Effective communication and people skills; follow directions.
• Proficient with EMR/PACS and other radiology equipment and fax systems.
• Must be ARRT-registered in Radiology; CT registry eligible must pass within 1 year.
• State license if applicable; CPR certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment and select proper technical factors for patients of all ages.
• Administer and document IV contrast under physician direction.
• Maintain radiation safety and proper immobilization.
• Assist radiologist and staff in CT procedures across patient ages.
• Educate patients about procedures and ensure comfort and confidentiality.
• Train and evaluate new CT associates and students.
