Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando Central in Orlando, FL seeks a CT Technologist for per diem/PRN with flexible hours. Compensation is $43 per hour plus a $3,500 sign-on bonus. Per Diem positions are eligible for 401k after 1,000 hours within the first anniversary.

The CT Tech will prepare patients, operate CT scanner, administer contrast, monitor for adverse events, and perform QA on equipment. Join a team delivering high-quality inpatient post-ICU care.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist.
• At least 1 year experience as a CT Technologist.
• ARRT or CMRT certification.
• BLS certification.
• Current continuing education in licensure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and creating a comfortable environment.
• Use of proper patient positioning and technical factors to consistently produce quality diagnostic studies.
• Correctly operate a CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images of desired patient anatomy.
• Administer contrast media as directed by referring physician.
• Monitor the patient for any adverse drug events and report accordingly.
• Perform routine quality assurance on equipment and identify basic malfunctions.
• Perform clerical duties, as needed, such as answering phones.
